My story begins over 40 years ago when I was a teenager in high school.
My first house painting experience was the summer job I had in 1977. As a 17-year-old, I told myself I would never paint again. Eventually, circumstances led me back to painting, and I began painting for a living more than 20 years ago. You must be careful what you say, right?
After working for several painting companies and seeing the entire process, I discovered that I enjoyed it. I enjoyed taking something that looked bad or average and changing it to something outstanding. Seeing the look on the customers' faces when they see the finished transformation makes it worth the effort.

Character - Strength/ Honor and Gratitude
The quote “Strength and honor " comes from one of my favorite movies, Gladiator. It resonates deep to my core. Its described so well in the article “The Dual Pillars of Character: Strength and Honor” by Gen. John Michel. The movie “portrays the ultimate characterization of a selfless, courageous, and inspirational leader” who repeats this two-word phrase to his fellow warriors before an epic battle scene. It is the story of an extraordinary warrior who fought to triumph good over evil by the power of his positive example and stood firm to the end in the face of overwhelming adversity. It is a story of all that is best in the human condition.”
It is the sort of character for which I strive. It can be hard to define but becomes the core of who we are. We can’t separate our character from what we do and how we do it. It's the discipline and conviction to do the right thing no matter its cost.
Gratitude
In the summer of 1978, I was riding in the back of a truck colliding with another vehicle when I was thrown out on the pavement, traveling 50 miles per hour. I shouldn’t even be here. And I don’t think it was just luck that brought me through that without even a scratch. Because of that event and life, I’m grateful for every day I have. Each one is a gift from God. (For in Him we live and move and have our being) Acts 17:28. I know that my time will be up after God's purpose for me is finished on the earth.
So, to bring it back to gratitude, we do not take any customer for granted. We understand that when you invite us in your home, you are entrusting us with not only your hard-earned money but the safety and well-being of your family. For this, we are grateful.
